Inspire. \nTurn a few hours of service into a semester of STEM discovery! \nC-STEM invites you to join us for Volunteer Pack Day\, a hands-on service opportunity where volunteers will assemble C-STEM student toolkits\, organize learning materials\, and prepare after-school activities for students to explore STEM this fall. \nThis event brings Boardwalk Pipeline employees together with C-STEM for a meaningful morning of service at our Third Ward office. The toolkits assembled during Pack Day will be placed directly into students’ hands starting in October\, reaching elementary\, middle\, and high school students from economically disadvantaged households across Houston. \nYour hands. Their next big idea. Pack a kit. Power a possibility. \nAbout the Toolkits\nC-STEM toolkits support hands-on\, project-based learning experiences that help students explore STEM through: \n\nEngineering design and construction\nCoding and prototyping\nProblem-solving and creativity\nCollaboration and communication\n\nStudents are typically organized in small teams and use the kits for activities aligned to national educational standards including TEKS\, Common Core\, and NGSS. Each toolkit creates an environment for students to identify\, design\, and build innovative solutions to real-world problems. \nWhat You’ll Do\nVolunteers will spend the morning assembling and organizing C-STEM toolkits and hands-on learning activities.
