C-STEM Honored for Efforts
C-STEM received a prestigious honor earlier this month, Marcia Johnson Public Service Award. The Earl Carl Institute for Legal and Social Policy, Inc. at Texas Southern University provides a $1,000 award to a TSU student, a community servant, and a local community organization in recognition of outstanding public service. C-STEM was recognized as being a strong voice at the table for change.
Remember C-STEM this Giving Tuesday
This week we’ll be feasting and gathering with friends and family while reminiscing on all that we’re thankful for, big and small. Next Tuesday, December 3rd, is Giving Tuesday, and we would be grateful for as much support as you can share on that day. How much we’re able to impact students and teachers in our communities is dependent on your donations, and no gift is too small. Thank you in advance, and we look forward to your support this Giving Tuesday.
Get Ready for 12 Days of STEM Contest
Join us Dec. 2 – 14 for the 12 Days of STEM! Each day during the contest, there will be a virtual ‘gift box’ hidden throughout the C-STEM website. Click on the gift box to reveal a STEM-related song. Keep a running list and provide all 12 titles to us at the end of the contest for a chance to win. Those who submit their list will be entered into a drawing for the final prize. Watch our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for clues on where to find the daily gift box. C-STEM Board Members are not eligible to participate.
