Turn a few hours of service into a semester of STEM discovery!

C-STEM invites you to join us for Volunteer Pack Day, a hands-on service opportunity where volunteers will assemble C-STEM student toolkits, organize learning materials, and prepare after-school activities for students to explore STEM this fall.

This event brings Boardwalk Pipeline employees together with C-STEM for a meaningful morning of service at our Third Ward office. The toolkits assembled during Pack Day will be placed directly into students’ hands starting in October, reaching elementary, middle, and high school students from economically disadvantaged households across Houston.

About the Toolkits

C-STEM toolkits support hands-on, project-based learning experiences that help students explore STEM through:

• Engineering design and construction
• Coding and prototyping
• Problem-solving and creativity
• Collaboration and communication

Students are typically organized in small teams and use the kits for activities aligned to national educational standards including TEKS, Common Core, and NGSS. Each toolkit creates an environment for students to identify, design, and build innovative solutions to real-world problems.

What You’ll Do

Volunteers will spend the morning assembling and organizing C-STEM toolkits and hands-on learning activities. No prior experience is needed – just a willingness to serve and a passion for making STEM accessible to all students.
